Our client is a standout mid-sized law firm with offices in the CBD. They are currently looking for a Personal Assistant / Legal Assistant to support across Litigation and Debt Recovery. The role is around 70% litigation support (debt recovery) and 30% providing legal administration support to the firms Managing Partner.
The firm are looking for an Assistant with experience working in Debt Recovery and litigation. The work in Debt Recovery is billable work and therefore the firm would prefer a candidate who has previously supported in this space.
Typical duties will include –
  • Diary management
  • Booking appointments with clients and counsels 
  • Booking in conferences and arranging travel 
  • Filing - Electonic & hard copy
  • Managing emails (chasing up appointments)
  • Court filing 
  • Billing (roughly 10-15+ per month) 
  • Drafting and amending documents
  • Performing searches - titles, company, property and other
  • Amending and preparing agreements and documents 
  • Drafting court documents
  • Preparing file opening forms and preparation of cost agreements 
  • Drafting letters and correspondence to debtors
  • Ad hoc general administration support for other Lawyers 
This role represents an opportunity for someone with either past experience in this area, to step up in their career and to take direct ownership, or for someone with great litigation experience, to step into the next phase of their career.

You will have the opportunity to develop to the next level, using your commercial litigation experience, knowledge of Court processes and dealing directly with the client.
