This client is a medium sized accounting firm based in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne. 

The role

This is an amazing opportunity to join a growing firm that truly reward their staff. They have a supportive administration team and a team of driven Accountants that you would provide support too. 

This role will suit an Administrator who is looking to take a step up into their career. They have the opportunity within 6 months to take on more of a managerial role so will suit somebody who is looking for that step up. 

Please note, this is a full-time permanent opportunity. 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meeting and greeting clients when they come in for meetings
  • Ensuring the meeting rooms and set ups, getting teas and coffees if required
  • Answering phones and assisting clients 
  • Scheduling meetings for Partners
  • Lodgements of income tax returns, BAS and IAS
  • Collations of tax returns and financials
  • Managing the client database and updating any details
  • Using MYOB AE on a daily basis
  • Following up on any outstanding documents from clients
  • Invoicing
  • Debtor management
  • Scanning and electronic filing
  • Collations of documents
  • Updating client information through the data base
  • Ordering stationary and consumables for the office
  • Stepping up into a management role which will include ensuring the office is running smooth on a day to day basis and management of administration staff
  • Any other adhoc admin as required
Experience
  • 3 + years working in a public practice accounting firm as an Administrator
  • Experience using MYOB AE is highly regarded however not essential for this role
  • You will have excellent time management skills
  • You will be looking to take the next step in your career
  • Great customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a heavy workload
