The company

This client is a medium sized public practice accounting firm that specialise across a number of industries, based in the Inner North suburbs of Melbourne. 

The role

They now have an amazing opportunity to join their growing team as an Administration Assistant. 

You will be joining a 4 Partner firm with over 45 staff in total, 25 of which are Accountants. 

Please note, this is a full-time permanent opportunity. 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis
  • Liaising with internal and external parties such as the ATO and ASIC
  • Drafting emails and letters
  • Following up on outstanding documentation from the clients
  • Organising payment plans
  • Invoicing
  • Managing the job flow for the team
  • Team diary and email management
  • Booking meetings
  • Preparing various documents for internal meetings
  • Debtor management - follow up emails to clients
  • Scanning and electronic filing
  • Maintaining the client data base
  • ASIC Administration - lodging correct forms
  • ABN/GST/TFN applications
  • Tax Return, BAS and IAS lodgements 
  • Annual Company Statements
Experience
  • Experience working in a public practice accounting firm in a similar role is essential for this position. 
  • MYOB or Xero experience is highly regarded however not essential for this role
  • High attention to detail
  • Can take initiative and work well under pressure
