The Opportunity

Due to continued success of their clients, and continued growth in demand for their expertise, this is your opportunity to work with a range of organisations on improving and building their asset management, maintenance and reliability processes. 

The role will involve:
  • Use of Asset Information Systems, interrogating, analysing client CMMS/EAM data and undertaking technical reporting and presentations
  • Facilitating workshops with clients, including documentation and communication
  • Working and proactively collaborating with a range of Clients including maintenance superintendents, team leaders, engineers, planners and schedulers
  • Working on client sites under Client and host Client safety and environmental procedures
  • Performing asset validation and documentation of hierarchy of asset systems and components breakdown.
  • Application of reliability engineering methods and capability to perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Asset Criticality Assessments, root cause analysis, reliability modelling etc.
  • Development of Preventive Maintenance Procedures for various plant and equipment across different industries.
  • Technical report writing, presentation and communication with clients
  • Auditing maintenance and asset management functions and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Coaching Clients on maintenance work management and asset management processes
  • Network and engage with Clients to identify issues and opportunities where we can support the client towards improvement.
About You

Self motivated and energetic in nature, you’ll hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher, ideally in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. You should also have;
  • Membership of Engineers Australia (or be eligible)
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Business, Maintenance Management, Reliability Engineering, Data Analysis, Data Science or Asset Management (not essential but highly regarded)
  • Minimum 5 years of exp in Asset Management, Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Engineering or Maintenance Management role in a relevant industry sector
  • Practical experience linked with innovation & improvements associated with physical assets and systems are preferred
Your skills and attributes

In addition, to be considered you must be able to demonstrate:
  • Outstanding communication skills, including formal presentation and technical writing
  • Solid experience with CMMS/EAM - SAP and Maximo preferred
  • High-level competency with MS Excel, Project, Visio, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to influence others without having positional authority
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exposure to continuous improvement ideology and methods
  • The ability to work with limited or no supervision once guidelines are understood
  • Willingness to facilitate group sessions with Clients (training to be provided)
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence or equivalent
  • Ability to travel overseas
  • A desire to develop and grow professionally and technically.
The following experience is advantageous:
  • SQL, C#, or other programming experience
  • Implementation of management systems under quality standards such as PAS-55, ISO 55001 and/or ISO 9001
Domestic and trans-Tasman (and possibly other international) travel will be a regular feature of the role and you must be willing to be away for up to a week at a time. You must also live in the Sydney / Illawarra region with ease of access to the office in inner South West Sydney.
