Work Group Leader - Wangaratta

About the Role 
Australian Rail Track Corporation is a major national organisation responsible for managing infrastructure maintenance, capital upgrades and the movement of trains on interstate railway track across South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland, as well as the Hunter Valley coal rail network. 
At ARTC, Work Group Leaders are an integral part of our delivery team, and their skills and experience in leading and supervising a multi-skilled work group allows us to deliver a variety of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks across the rail corridor.

Your main focus will be ensuring the operational integrity and efficiency of your area of responsibility within the larger rail corridor. You will need to ensure that your forward planning is accurate, up to date and takes into account compliance, best practice scheduling to ensure the best utilisation of the teams resources and ARTC’s Safety Management System.  
About You   
We are seeking someone with Rail qualifications in safe working and certification in infrastructure inspection, assessment and repair, as well as;
  • The ability to supervise and motivate a work group for effective performance.
  • Sound oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed problem resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven planning experience and the ability to work in an organised manner.  
  • Current C class drivers' license and solid computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Rail Safety Management and WH&S principles, and an ability to implement the principles.
