About the Position

Based in our state-of-the-art Brisbane CBD location, the Marketing and Events Advisor will be responsible for providing high quality event management support to the Marketing Manager, including:
  • assessing marketing needs, providing advice and delivering solutions for all externally-facing events to support the successful delivery of Inland Rail
  • managing and enhancing the marketing reach of Inland Rail’s existing events portfolio by identifying and implementing supporting promotion activities e.g. presentation and collateral development, advertising, media and social media promotion, live stream coordination, industry partnerships and endorsement, photo and video opportunities, etc.
  • identifying and providing advice on new engagement opportunities through conference attendance, industry briefings and speaking engagement commitments
  • writing, editing and proofreading copy, ensuring messages are consistent and align with our objectives
  • managing all event logistics by bringing to the role strong event industry relationships with venues and suppliers, and experience with documenting processes
  • maintaining an events calendar
  • managing budgets and developing and monitoring Return on Investment metrics and evaluation reporting.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or proven experience in corporate marketing or communication role
  • proven skills in the delivery of high-quality marketing and event-focused services in a technical environment
  • proven relationships with industry suppliers and vendors, and access to best practice event management processes and procedures
  • exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills across all levels
  • creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Candidates with previous experience within the infrastructure, transportation or logistics sector would be considered highly advantageous.
