Healthcare Australia is seeking an AHPRA Registered Nurse with experience managing incident investigations from reporting to completion, including the delivery of recommendations, feedback, coaching and performance management. The ideal candidate has a broad clinical knowledge of best practice standards and is passionate about completing thorough, detailed and comprehensive clinical & non clinical investigations.
The Clinical & Quality Incidents Officer will have strong computer skills, is confident navigating various software programs including candidate management databases, incident management software & Microsoft Office. They will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to complete impartial and objective investigations, whilst practicing with empathy and compassion.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting, coaching and educating the staff pool on incident management
  • Conducting & documenting comprehensive incident investigations
  • Determining appropriate corrective actions & recommendations in relation to incident investigations
  • Providing mentorship, advice and tools to the management team as required
  • Prepare & deliver reporting on incident trends and recommendations for process improvements
  • Managing and escalating high level incidents in a timely manner
The ideal candidate is:
  • A Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Confident in Incident Management, with a minimum of 2 years recent experience in a similar role
  • Experienced practicing in an acute care (hospital) or aged care setting, including in a compliant management and/or compliance role
  • Hard working, driven & dedicated
  • Able to problem solve & investigate logically and be able to keep calm under pressure
  • Has intermediate to advanced IT skills – this includes strong Microsoft Office skills, Candidate Management Systems & Incident Management system skills
  • Passionate about attention to detail & be able to work quickly & effectively
  • A professional with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, approaching every interaction as an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service
