Your new position as the senior behaviour support practitioner will be based South West of Melbourne CBD.

What your day to day duties within your new role will consist of:

  • Providing advice to support teams for customers who are listed on the Therapeutic Supports High Risk Register for disability including children with disabilities in out of home care
  • Provide consultation advice and support around significant life transitions for customers
  • Consult and liaise with clients, hospital and community staff, carers/family members, relevant agencies and government departments
  • Mentoring your team through the application of principles, methods and techniques of clinical assessments
  • Providing support which reflects the Disability Services Standards, Child Safety, NDIS and other relevant legislative requirements

As the successful Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner you will have:
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current driver’s license
  • Valid National Police Check
  • Proven experience in supporting people with complex behaviour support needs (Preferably 4 years plus ) 
  • Tertiary Qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Disability or Social Sciences
  • Proven knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support principals including functional behaviour assessment, development of behaviour support plans, implementation processes
  • An ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
