Healthcare Australia is Australia's largest owned and operated Healthcare Staffing Agency. HCA have recently been appointed by the Commonwealth Government to provide a Concierge Surge Staffing Service to Aged Care Facilities that experience workforce shortages due to COVID-19 outbreaks across the Country.

The Australian Aged Care Sector needs your help to provide effective Nursing Support to Aged Care organisations who are experiencing a COVID-19 Outbreak.

Resident care outcomes and effective Infection Control practices are paramount during a COVID-19 Outbreak, we need highly skilled Nurses willing to enter Residential Care Facilities in outbreak situations to assist in maintaining their Resident Care.

This role will require the successful candidate to be readily available for immediate deployment to Aged Care Facilities suffering an Outbreak situation around the country.

Key responsibilities:
  • Available to be deployed immediately across the country
  • Willing to provide Resident Care during a COVID-19 Outbreak
  • Ensure that Infection Control practices are followed
  • Provide high quality Nursing Care in a safe and compassionate way to elderly residents experiencing distress
  • Complete Clinical Nursing Assessments with the view to update or review Care Plans
  • Develop relationships with Residents to offer assurances that they will be cared for effectively
To be considered:
  • AHPRA Registered as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor Degree of Science (Nursing)
  • Hold a current WA Working with Children check 
  • National Police Certificate
  • Serology evidence to meet all WA Health requirements
  • Proven experience within the Aged Care setting
  • Experience caring for those living with dementia
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Experience with medication administration
  • Supervisory and mentoring skills
  • Experience completing ACFI documentation using both electronic and non-electronic care systems
