About the role: Working with Adults and Children in a variety of settings including SILs, Day Programs, Community Access, Residential Facilities and In Home Support. Supporting high challenging and complex behaviours with high care requirements. Shifts are located in a variety of locations in Townsville and surrounding areas. Some duties may include but are not limited to:

Daily living assistance including meal preparation and domestic duties
Personal care prompting and assistance
Medications Assistance
Community Access and transportation
Providing positive behaviour support

About you: We'd love to hear from candidates who are client focused. You will be eager and motivated to work a variety of shifts - weekdays, weekends, sleepovers in a variety of different locations. You must have:

minimum of 12 months paid experience supporting clients with severe intellectual disability and complex needs
First Aid certificate, dated within the last 3 years (or willing to obtain)
CPR certificate, dated within the last 12 months (or willing to obtain)
Queensland Blue (Working With Children card) and Yellow (Positive Notice card) or willing to obtain
Evidence of work rights (Australian passport or birth certificate or Working Visa)
Queensland open drivers licence
Smartphone access

Highly regarded skills and experience:

Experience supporting complex and challenging behaviours including verbal/physical aggression, property damage and self-harm
Experience and training in complex supports such as PEG feeding/management, epilepsy, Manual Handling (hoisting)
Experience administering medication
MAYBO/TCI or other behaviour support training
Hold or be working towards a relevant qualification (Cert IV or higher)
Comprehensively insured vehicle that can be used for work purposes
