What we are looking for?

We are looking for Disability Support Workers across Easter Suburbs and South Eastern Suburbs including Maroubra, Sutherland Shire and other surrounding areas to join our casual pool, with opportunities to become permanent with a leading wellbeing service provider.
  
Our client is a well-recognised organisation that’s been around for over a century and has been acknowledge for its services for the Australian Community.
  
What Will you do?
  
As a Disability Support Worker, you would be experienced supporting individuals with complex mental health and/or intellectual disability. You would have dexterity in problem-solving, and the ability to handle challenging situation.
  
Your role will further include:
  • Supporting individuals in Community Access, In Home Support and Residential setting
  • Enhance the lives of individuals by engaging with their daily activities and assisting with daily routines
  • Manage accurate and detailed shift reports including progress notes and incident reports
  • Ability to work collaborative in a team and autonomously

You must have:

  • Obtained minimum Certificate III in Disability, Mental Health, Youth, or other related fields
  • PART, TCI, MAYBO, Medication training is highly regarded
  • Must have a NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check
  • Minimum of 12 months PAID experience in supporting individuals with complex mental health and/or intellectual disability
  • Experienced working in a dynamic and challenging setting
  • Valid First Aid/CPRcertificate and Driver’s License
