Who are we looking for?

Position is located in Raymond Terrace, Maitland and Salt Ash (and surrounding areas) with rotating shifts. 
We are seeking for individuals who are committed, passionate and dedicated, about enriching the lives of our young people living in residential settings.  . As a Residential Youth Worker you would be experienced in supporting young people with disability and challenging behaviours. As part of your role you will be:
  • Supporting Young people in Residential Setting
  • Appling trauma and developmental informed approach to support our young people
  • Ensure their needs are set as outlined within their individual plans
  • Demonstrate a positive and encouraging environment to help engage our young people to develop life skills
  • Proactively be involved in activities and assist with meeting their personal goals and live with greater independence
  • Maintain accurate and detailed shift reports, incidents reports ad progress notes
  • Adapt well with change and manage challenging situations quickly
  • Ability to work collaborative in a team

The ideal candidate must have:
  • Completed a Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or in similar disciplinary
  • PART/TCI/MAPA Certificate (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 12 months PAID experience in supporting individuals 
  • Experience in a dynamic and challenging Residential environment
  • Current First Aid/CPR certificate 
  • NDIS Workers Check  Clearance
  • Holds a Valid Driver’s License
