The role
We are seeking 2 to 3 experienced Disability Support Workers to be part of a team  for ongoing shifts in particular Bacchus Marsh and surrounding area, for both our lovely existing and new clients. Each support worker may be required to do up to 3 shifts from below service schedule. Please only apply if this suits you.

Monday 08:30-10:30, 12-14:00, 20:30-22:30
Tuesday 20:30-22:30
Wednesday – 08:30-10:30, 12-14:00, 20:30-22:30
Thursday – 20:30-22:30
Friday – 08:30-10:30, 10:30-15:00, 20:30-22:30
Saturday 09:00-12, 20:30-22:30
Sunday -09:00-12, 20:30-22:30

Your primary role will be providing one on one support to our NDIS participants within their home or out in the community. This can include assisting with daily living activities, providing domestic assistance, as well as personal care, transport, and other aspects of daily living as specified by their NDIS plan. If you are a person with a kind, patient and empathetic nature, and willing to provide with your upmost care, carrying a positive can-do attitude; then this role could be a match for you.  
  
Essential criteria:
  • Must have HIGH Manual Handling experience such as hoist for clients with disability who need to be transferred on a regular basis
  • Must have CLEAR communication skills
  • Must be available to do at least 2 weekday mornings from the above service schedule
  • Not allergic to animals
  • Minimum of 6 months paid experience in supporting people with disabilities
  • Car, drivers licence and comprehensive insurance
  • Two relevant, professional and industry related reference checks
  • Employment Working with Children’s Check, or willing to obtain one
  • Have a current, or willing be to obtain a First Aid (HLTAID003) and CPR (HLTAID001) certificate.
  • Managing Challenging Behaviour experience highly regarded
  • Familarity of the area advantageous
