HCA are seeking a Psychologist for a Not-for-profit organisation based in Paddington, QLD.

The Client: 
The client are leaders in mental health service delivery, specialising in working with adults and young people, and in early childhood intervention.

The role: 

  • As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Clinician will provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of the children and families accessing services within a community setting. As well as working with relevant service systems to respond appropriately to their mental health and developmental needs.
    This role involves centre based service delivery as well as outreach work.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively plan and coordinate individualised psychosocial interventions to meet the needs of children and families with a mental illness based on a case formulation approach
    • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality assessment and evidence-based psychological interventions, within a stress-vulnerability and recovery framework.
    • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and function autonomously while being able to effectively work in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Ability to relate to children and families in a manner which is relevant and appropriate to their presenting needs and level of functioning and provide services in a recovery orientated manner

  • Full-time or Part-time negotiable (minimum of three days preferred) and Permanent
  • Base salary: $81,076 - 92,131 (dependent on experience) plus Super
  • Plus Leave loading at 17.5%

Criteria:
  • Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist
  • Territory qualification 
  • Ideally experience in mental health assessment, crisis intervention and treatment planning
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) 
  • Full Drivers Licence
