What’s the Opportunity?

The Head of Planning and Performance will be responsible for preparing strategic customer and data insights to uplift business performance and drive sustainable growth, reports to General Manager, Sales Enablement, Strategy and Operations.  The role has 3 direct reports.
  
You will have solid leadership skills to build a high performing team, an exceptional business partner, strong sales operations experience with a speciality in sales performance, strong commercial disciplines, providing deep insights and recommendations, utilising your ability to think high for strategy, deep to get the details, and wide to think end to end.  You will interact with key customer stakeholders, internal leaders, business partners and external consultants, and be able utilise your exceptional influencing skills, all the whilst working to the Vocus values.
  
The role is can either be based in North Sydney or Melbourne Office.


What’s the day to day?

Prepare strategic insights and recommendations to improve growth opportunities for the business.
  • Support Board and executive level reporting requirements.
  • Drive annual planning cycle for Enterprise & Government business including detailed support on planning activities across Sales, Products and Marketing.
  • Deliver meaningful metrics to business and sales leaders to uplift business performance.
  • Lead data quality programs and uplift confidence in business performance metrics.
  • Customer segmentation strategy and model, portfolio design and targeting
  • Design, administration and governance of Sales and Partner commissions plans
  • Design the overarching Sales Analytics strategy into our Sales Technology Roadmap across Salesforce, Telflow and Tableau
  • Stream Lead, Salesforce Reimagined – Analytics and Commissions stream
  • Represent Enterprise & Government  on the Data Governance Council
  • Build a team of high performing individuals deeply connected to the business with strong analytical capabilities
  
What you’ll need to be successful:
 
  • Outstanding Executive Stakeholder Management skills
  • Bachelor or related degree
  • Strategic Thinker with an active eye to external market and economic trends
  • Strong strategy methodology and ability to logically construct recommendations driven by market and data insights
  • Deep commercial acumen
  • High attention to detail and ability to translate data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
  • Leadership of geographic diverse teams
  • Data Science or Data Analytics experience
  • Experience with Tableau CRM
  • Demonstrated experience with designing and developing Sales and Partner commission schemes
  • NV1 Clearance would be an advantage to have or in the process of obtaining
  • Outstanding ability to influence executive leaders and across cross company structures
