What’s the opportunity? 

Growth and change at Vocus has resulted in a great opportunity for commercially savvy, people focused leader looking to join our challenger business. In a roll up your sleeves environment your role will be to maximise billed revenue collected from customers and to reduce customer debt write-off by building and running our optimal credit risk, fraud and collection management processes and teams. Working across our core brands, Commander, Dodo, and iPrimus, your risk and credit expertise, knowledge of the Energy and Telco markets, exposure to managing offshore teams, and ability to engage and influence a broad group of stakeholders whilst keeping the customer ‘front of mind’ will be key to your success in this role.

Your key responsibilities will include
  • Building, leading and developing the Australian credit and collections team.
  • Building, leading and developing the Manila collections function, including management of the function to ensure both the timely collection of outstanding to KPI’s and forecasts.
  • Leading and successfully delivering projects related to the implementation of credit risk, fraud and collections process.
  • Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure business outcomes are delivered with an optimal customer experience.
  • Taking responsibility for ensuring all processes are compliant with regulatory obligations.
  • Preparation of monthly debt write-offs, monthly business reviews, and annual and ad hoc forecasts.
  • Constant monitoring of performance against KPIs, and utilising fact-based insights to put in place corrective action where required.
  • Ensuring conformity and compliance with the Vocus collections/debt management policy.

Your experience will include
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a credit & collections, billing or revenue assurance function in an ASX Top 100 business, or similarly sized business; ideally in the energy or telco industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and execution of an optimal credit risk, fraud and collection management process for an ASX Top 100 business, or similarly sized business;
  • Demonstrated experience in building, developing and leading engaged teams across geographic boundaries;
  • Demonstrated experience running a phone-based collections team, either onshore or offshore;
  • Demonstrated experience in building and utilising Digital collection methods;
  • Demonstrated experience in the design of credit processes in buy, activate or use journeys that are customer friendly and do not add unnecessary friction for customers;
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing and managing senior stakeholders across all different functional domains;
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong understanding of key financial standards, credit risk and debt provision principles;
  • Strong working knowledge of key Regulatory standards.
