What's the Opportunity 
     
As a part of the Operations Optimisation function, this role supports Operations teams in developing technical and knowledge content to support effective delivery of internal and external telco/IT services. This role will also consult with project/product management,development, engineering and risk functions. This role is initially a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract role.
     
Your key responsibilities will include    

  • Produce guidelines, standards and other artefacts in collaboration with subject matter experts
  • Develop and maintain reference materials for technology systems and infrastructure, covering network as well as IT domains
  • Maintain Confluence wiki content for process information and work instructions
  • Support project managers and functional leaders in developing appropriate documentation to support new products, processes or functions
  • Lead consolidation and retirement of out-of-date documentation
  • Analyse existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
  • Ensure complex technical and reference documents are thoroughly cross-referenced, factually correct, and delivered in a clear and easy to use manner
  • Maintain and modify the information architecture
  • Maintain strong relationships with key subject matter experts, business and other stakeholders
  • Actively develop good working relationships with all stakeholders, motivated by the shared experience of working towards a common goal 
  • Employ well-developed collaboration and elicitation skills at all levels of the organisation

Your experience will include
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality written documentation in a variety of formats
  • Prior relevant work experience in a technology or operations role
  • Technical communication
    • Superlative communication skills with the ability to produce high quality written documentation  
    • Excellent design skills and ability to develop graphical representations of technical content
    • Strong research and elicitation skills to understand the subject matter and develop relevant content
    • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate information into documentation for varied audiences including technical and non-technical users
    • Advanced proficiency in document creation tools (Microsoft Word/Google Docs, Atlassian Confluence,)
  • Planning and delivery management
    • Extensive experience with modifying delivery approach to meet organisational needs
    • Excellent organizational skills, with an attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
    • Manages complexity and ambiguity with a focus on internal and external customer outcomes
    • Works both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
