Develop machine learning/AI technology used in clinical microbiology.

The Company: 

My client is publicly listed and develops a patent-protected machine learning and intelligent imaging platform technology to delivery instruments that utilise AI technology for clinical microbiological applications.  
About The Role:

The role is ideally suited to an experienced Systems Engineer with previous experience of completing systems engineering tasks for complex systems including requirements definition, software development, risk management, verification and validation planning and providing input to regulatory submissions. 

Who You Are:
  • A degree in an engineering discipline - systems, software or mechatronics etc.
  • Experienced in the use of systems engineering techniques for complex systems development.
  • Awareness of engineering standards such as ISO/IEC 15288 or the INCOSE handbook.
  • A team player who is able to communicate strongly with all engineering and regulatory staff.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Working within a team of 10 engineering staff and 10 microbiology and AI staff identifying, developing, and maintaining requirements for systems, sub-systems and product components
  • Creating, completing and maintaining requirements traceability
  • Reviewing the system solution against the relevant regulatory and technical standards (e.g. product safety, human factors, cyber security etc.)
  • Performing, reviewing, or assessing hazard analysis, risk management, human factors, cyber security and verification and validation activities
  • Writing test plans, test procedures and test reports for the V&V of the design to ensure that requirements are met
  • Attending design review meetings as the systems engineering representative
  • Preparing briefing material to support system design reviews
  • Support the Engineering Director in the full range of systems engineering activities being performed.
