The Opportunity

Specialist infrastructure manager with both listed and unlisted funds (~US 10b) are undertaking a review of their global operating model to align operations and supporting IT with their growth strategy. 

The Project

They require specialists in Project Management from the Funds Management industry with business transformation project skills to assist external consultants and  business areas in the following:

-Current state analysis of back & middle office functions in Melbourne, Sydney and Wellington offices

-Documenting the current operating environment and cost of operations
                -Identify areas of outsourcing
                -Define a target operating model
                -RFI/RFP for new IT vendors

-Ultimately Streamline operations and IT.                -
  • Reports to Project Director

The Person

We are looking for project minded professionals with fund management operations experience and business transformation skills, who will fit this friendly, collaborative, team oriented and successful team.  

Key requirements and skills  include:
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Technology, Economics or a related field
  • 10+ years’ experience managing complex, projects with a strong focus on technical delivery
  • Experience managing diverse teams of internal and external resources, including vendor and consultant firms
  • Significant senior stakeholder management across asset classes
  • Experience within asset/funds management or similar financial services field
  • Coverage of technical and business solutions
  • Experience with Technical delivery of a project
  • Strong experience with managing project financials, resource plans, risk and issues logs, communication plan
  • Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a team environment
  • Good Communication skills
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of funds management industry preferred
  • Stakeholder engagement and management
This role will be based in the Melbourne CBD office but will require travel to Sydney & Wellington at times.

The project is anticipated to be 18 - 24 months and the rate is highly attractive and flexible based on experience.
