The Role Description
 

The Internal Audit function is part of the Strategy team and is ultimately responsible to the CEO, GM of Strategy and Audit Chair. Reporting directly to this highly regarded Head of Internal Audit  - you will join a team of 5 seniors with responsibility for leading and participating in the planning and execution of internal audit projects (across operational, IT, financial, project governance, fraud investigation, risk & controls and compliance audits). 

The role will be both hands-on at times and strategic.  You will have excellent training & development in a supportive team-based culture and exposure key stakeholders across the organisation.  You will lead and manage teams of consultants ranging from 2 to 6 depending on the size & scale of project and take an advisory approach, identifying process re-engineering opportunities.  It is essential that you proactively seek out opportunities to add value and contribute as a valued member of this busy team.

Key duties include:

• Execution of audit programs
• Developing practical and value added recommendations 
• Proactively liaising with management, external auditors and co-sourcing parties
• Providing expertise in internal control and business process improvement
• Engaging with stakeholders to enhance business knowledge
• Driving innovation and improvement to audit processes 
• Sharing knowledge and constantly developing to remain a leader in your field


 The Ideal Candidate
 

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and technically competent Big 4 trained Internal Audit professional.  Ideally you will have recently achieved Manager level and have developed a consultative approach, gained project management experience, outstanding stakeholder engagement skills and a strength in business process risk and controls

Remuneration & Benefits

The salary package on offer is between $120K -140 package (with flexibility based on experience) plus an annual incentive bonus and other great benefits such as  extra leave, insurances, subsidised gym membership, flexible salary packaging options, flexible working arrangements,  social club, travel discounts and more
 
   
Location is CBD and very accessible by public transport.  This role involves minimal travel.
