About the Company
You will be working for an industry leader in the remedial construction and protective coatings industry, servicing clients in all sectors from heavy industrial, large-scale commercial, mining, oil & gas, rail, civil infrastructure and more.

About the Role 
Reporting to the National EHS Manager you will be striving to enable a unified culture of safety, people, client focus and operational excellence, the role provides practical EHS advice and support to the team and delivering on initiatives that continually improve the EHS culture and performance in line with the company strategy and values.

Some of your duties will include:
• Support/assist in consultation and maintenance of the EHS System
• Communicate and promote the Company EHS strategic plan and assist site management in facilitating EHS consultation processes
• Review the quality of information submitted, including safety conversations, hazard identifications, corrective actions, incidents and investigations
• Attend and develop materials/ provide data for EHS Meetings/Toolboxes
• Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs
• Undertake project EHS system and compliance audits
• Conduct regular site EHS inspections with business stakeholders to drive improvements in on-site conditions 
• Undertake safety conversations
• Assist with the development/review of risk assessments
• Review contractor EHS performance and pre-qualification process

To be great in this role you:
  • 3 to 5 years of practical experience in an EHS role with a focus on construction and high-risk activities (preferred)
  • Good relationship management of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with audits and corrective action planning
  • Knowledge of multi-state EHS legislation, and ISO14001
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others
  • Great problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support the business operational requirements, regular travel to sites required 
Qualifications – Education and/or professional
• Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety
• Dangerous Goods qualifications/ training (desirable)
• Accident/Incident Investigator (ICAM)
• Rehabilitation and RTW Coordinator
