Team Leader - Insurance Claims (commencing Jan 2020)

As a Team Leader you are responsible for managing the day to day operations, leading, coaching and developing team members in our Claim Repairs team.

What you’ll be doing:

Commencing in January 2020, the Team Leader's role will be tasked with assisting the day to day running of the team and optimise business efficiency, analysis and review of portfolio for continuous improvement and delivering exceptional service experience for all customers. 
   
Other accountabilities will include but not limited to the following:
  • Lead by example and work as part of the team to ensure KPIs are met
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across Tandem, Suppliers, Client and Subcontractors.
  • Develop and foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of customer experience and business objectives.
  • Facilitating the continuous professional development of the team
  • Manage escalated and complex customer queries ensuring resolution in a timely manner
  • Ensure delivery of quality customer service to all customers internal and external
  • Monitoring real-time performance of the team and individual performance
  • Set priorities, plan workload, meet deadlines and achieve the objectives for the team
  • Conduct daily attendance checks and monitor phone status usage for your team closely to achieve the highest level of productivity.
  • Quality checking interactions ensuring your team is always providing the best customer service aligned with their KPI’s.
  • Work with the business to support and deliver consistent quality coaching outcomes
  • Other duties as directed by TANDEM
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience in a similar role will be highly regarded
  • Strong leadership experience
  • Insurance or trade experience preferred
  • Proven ability in mentoring and motivating people
  • Demonstrated ability in managing critical stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to effectively analyse and resolve problems
  • A vital focus on customer outcomes and relations
  • Ability to innovate and be creative in developing processes and procedures
  • Strong conflict resolution, performance management, problem solving and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to multitask and re-prioritise as the business demands
  • Experience managing budgets, driving targets and meeting KPIs
  • Experience managing and developing a high performing team
