Major Loss Repair Manager - Insurance

We are currently looking for an experienced Major Loss Repair Manager to join our Insurance team. Now is an exciting time to join Tandem!

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position will be to successfully manage all stages of large loss insurance building projects from award of contract through to design, construction and commissioning.

What you’ll be doing:

The Major Loss Repair Manager is responsible for scheduling works, coordinating suppliers and subcontractors, managing site inductions, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring budgetary requirements and are met.
  • Liaising with insurance company employees throughout the construction period
  • Issuing accurate purchase orders to trades and suppliers
  • Requesting and following up quotations as required
  • Provide a high quality customer service
  • Monitoring of budgets and cost control
  • Providing accurate weekly updates for internal and external use by keeping thorough file notes in line with internal KPI's
  • Monitoring and approval of trade invoices in line with corresponding purchase orders
  • Finalising the construction process and preparing for invoicing
  • Accurately forecasting and achieving monthly revenue targets
  • Managing claims until settlement under the guidance of our experienced managers
  • Adhering to all legislative and compliance processes in your management of the claim
  • Managing confidential claims information discreetly and professionally
What we're looking for:
  • Prior experience managing Large Loss Insurance projects
  • Extensive Project Management background
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Project or similar applications
  • High level understanding of HSE practices, legislation & regulations
  • Knowledge of current market rates & industry trends
  • Experience with Scheduling tools/Gantt Charts
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • An individual who can critically assess and has excellent organisational skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities with a calm and professional approach
  • Strong systems, operational and reporting skills with a willingness to work flexible hours and be adaptable to changed routines from time to time
