Phillip Riley is pleased to invite applications from Power Systems Engineers who have experience in network modelling and system studies for utilities.

Our client is an national company who have been involved with major utility and infrastructure projects across New Zealand and Australia. Due to growth across their business and the energy market in both countries they are looking at bringing on a Senior Power Systems Engineer to assist their clients with design and analysis tasks.

The duties will include
  • Perform complex load flow analysis and insulation co-ordination
  • Produce network modelling using Digsilent, PSS/E and PSCAD for a range of dynamic and transient type studies
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders including clients, utilities, generations, grid development or other regulatory bodies
  • Ensure familiarity with NZ / AUS standards and regulations
To be considered for this role you will need the below experience
  • Degree in Electrical or another relevant engineering Qualification
  • Previous involvement in network studies for large scale utilities and / or generation scheme as well as transmission operators / developers
  • Strong network modelling skills, Digsilent, PSS/E and PSCAD experience required
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and solve complex problems
