Job Summary
The Corporate Counsel will facilitate solar project M&A, development, underwriting, finance, and the supporting legal functions thereof. This candidate will be focused on leading the acquisition, finance, and development of distributed-generation solar and battery storage projects nationwide.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a first-level review of various contracts, agreements and other legal documents under the General Counsel. 
  • Provide transaction leadership and support on a wide variety of solar acquisition and development transactions, including managing, conducting and supporting project due diligence.
  • Negotiate and drafting of MIPAs/APAs, site control agreements, PPAs/revenue agreements, term sheets/LOIs, NDAs, EPC agreements, and various ancillary agreements required in connection with Standard Solar’s project pipeline and deal-flow.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience as a transactional attorney,
  • Particular experience on utility-scale solar energy projects, including tax equity structures, preferred but not required.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Must be a member in good standing of the bar in your state.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with external stakeholders such as contractors, lenders and investors.
