ABOUT OUR CLIENT AND ROLE

Operating in the service and distribution industry, our client is a key player in its market segment.  With a budgeted global turnover exceeding $250m, this company provides a unique and valuable service to its constantly expanding membership base throughout Australia, New Zealand, and US.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, the Senior Infrastructure Administrator is accountable for the operation, administration and support of the company's infrastructure to drive new ideas to meet the challenges within the business. 

DUTIES
  • Primary responsibility for the ongoing operation of IT voice and server infrastructure, and the continuous performance, ongoing maintenance and support of such systems.
  • Ensuring ongoing systems integrity and security related to virus protection, network access, email, Internet access and voice communications services.
  • Ensuring integrity and security related to corporate data, including backup and recovery, and the formulation of disaster recovery plans and periodic testing and verification confirming controls are in place and effective.
  • Providing technical advice regarding the design, implementation, support and upgrade of IT infrastructure systems, including servers, data storage, voice communications, desktop environment, and provide hands on technical support of all related IT infrastructure as required.
  • Ensuring documentation of operations procedures, network diagrams, as-built documents, and software user manuals exist and remain up-to-date and readily accessible by relevant personnel.

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
  • A minimum of five years’ experience administrating and supporting corporate wide IT infrastructure systems and services;
  • Excellent knowledge of Azure, Microsoft Windows Server, PowerShell, Internetworking, Security, AD/Domains, Exchange Online, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, WSUS, HP servers, Veeam Backup, VOIP, Meraki and the implementation, administration and support of such systems;
  • Demonstrate capacity for problem clarification and resolution in relation to IT infrastructure systems and services, especially related to Microsoft Windows Server, Network and Cloud technologies;
  • Moderate knowledge in AWS, VMWare, What’s Up Gold, Remote Desktop Services, SharePoint Online, Biztalk, WebMarshal and the implementation, administration and support of such systems.
