Our client is an Australian health innovation brand that has grown to become a global leader in medical technology. Their rapid expansion into overseas markets after sustained growth here in Australia sees their strong core team at Melbourne HQ growing.

The newly created role of Account Manager - Technology will enhance the relationship between our client & their customers, with a slant toward assisting their more technology-driven customers. It will be a role of attracting, onboarding and growing new customers, whilst at the same time assisting and expanding quality relationships with existing customers who are core to their ongoing success as a business. 

The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
  • Managing relationships with key existing accounts;
  • Identifying and growing new opportunities across the customer network;
  • Project managing the deployments of new customers;
  • Providing onsite and remote technical assistance to customers;
  • Attending to general customer enquiries;
  • Providing rolling customer feedback to help continually improve our client's services;
  • Attending conferences, where & when required;
  • Traveling domestically for up to 5 nights per month;
  • Maintaining accurate customer account records;
  • Assisting with high priority requests or with the ability to issue escalation as needed.

The right candidate will have the following technical skills & personal attributes:

  • Prior experience, preferably 5 yrs+, in an Account Manager (or similar) role working with a SaaS or cloud-based platform;
  • Comfortable in discussing technical specifics of a software solution (integrations, deployments etc);
  • A proven ability to sell & upsell services into new & existing customers;
  • Comfortable in dealing with medical staff in the training of application of a medical device;
  • A logical and thoughtful approach to solve new and exciting challenges; 
  • Experience with customer management software, such as Salesforce and Zendesk;
  • High level of computer literacy, with a focus on MS Office, and a reasonable understanding of cloud-deployed software;
  • A positive and thoughtful approach to all stakeholders;
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
  • An ability to show critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrate a consultative approach when offering new & existing services to clients;
  • Ability to be proactive and use initiative to work independently;
  • Maintain a focus on the commercial objectives & KPI’s as set by the company;
  • Ability to coordinate people and work cohesively in a team; and
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
