Our Client is a long-standing, family-owned builder developer that is committed to the Canberra region. This company builds and manages both large- and small-scale commercial, retail and residential projects along with complex specialist builds such as medical suites, heritage work, highly specified boutique hotels and secure facilities. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee new builds with a thorough understanding of the scope, contract and project time frames
  • Induct subcontractors and site employees
  • Oversee operations on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budgets and to standard
  • Manage defect rectification
  • Responsible for the financial, safety, supervision of staff and sub-contractors as well as managing the client relationship
  • Planning and weekly programming
  • Hold meetings on Site and Debriefs 
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety systems
  • Monitor construction costs, budgets and time frames 
  • Assist in the coordination of materials, tools and equipment
  • Reviewing/ maintaining new and innovative safety systems
  • Management of Clients, Site Engineers and Sub-contractors
  • Project experience such as high-end, multi-storey apartments and mixed use commercial projects is highly desirable 
  • Vast Experience on site
  • Stability and Collaborative working ability
  • Seamless delivery of building projects 
Skills and Experience:
  • Trade/New build experience
  • Site manager experience, including accurately managing all compliance and paperwork required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • History of successfully managing relationships well with all stakeholders in stressful situations and ability to problem solve
  • An ability to motivate, manage and lead sub-contractors to get the best out of workers
