The Role

As a Project Engineer (or first time Project Manager) you will be working on a a variety of projects alongside the Construction Manager and Director/s while supervising and managing the day to day operations on site liaising with multi-disciplinary engineering functions and stakeholder groups.   

You must have extensive construction experience in the management and delivery of civil projects including GC21 works. You will have excellent negotiation and leadership skills both written and verbal. Your commitment to safety, compliance and relationship management will be a key to your success.
Our client is a multi-disciplined business operating in the area of civil engineering construction/ project management in Canberra and surrounding regions. They deliver projects to government and private sector clients in a whole range of civil engineering works including land development, roadworks, subdivisions and building works. They improve project results with detailed adherence to ensure they present adequate Work health and Safety, Quality and comply with legislation.  

To be considered for this role you will have a minimum of three (3) years post Tertiary Studies (ideally in Civil Engineering) along with local experience in commercial or civil construction. You will be eager to join the team and mentor a strong and capable site team while overseeing programming, scheduling, and subcontractor management, WHS&E, IR and client liaison.  

You will have excellent planning, organisation and communication skills allowing you to manage multiple priorities whilst delivering your project within time, cost and quality constraints. A civil engineering degree or at least an accredited civil qualification is essential.
