About Your Next Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and energetic Service Technician to oversee and take responsibility for machine up time and maintenance for their Client's mine site in WA; Primarily you will be looking after robotic sampling cells. Your ability to work autonomously while delivering results will see you succeed in this role. This role is a 5 year contract role and provides the perfect opportunity to run things on your own. Some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Machine installations, maintenance, service and repairs
  • Perform breakdown maintenance and respond to customers requests within set time frames
  • Provide technical support to clients and colleagues 
  • Use workshop machinery to to produce mechanical parts
  • Continually educate clients on how to maintain their machinery
  • Material acquisition and inventory control
  • Actively participate in and support the Group's Continuous Improvement Program
  • Adhere  to company OH&S policies and procedures
To be Successful
You will be a highly flexible, hands on and results driven professional who is dedicated to delivering work to a high-quality standard and in a timely manner. You will be highly organised and will not mind working independently or within a team. Your demonstrated background with ABB Robots and Rockwell PLC will have you standing out from the rest and your ability plan, organise will be second to none. As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Suitable Trade Qualification: Mechatronics (Highly Desirable) | Mechanical | Electrical
  • A Grade Licence (Highly Regarded)
  • Demonstrated experience in Industrial | Mining | Automation Equipment
  • Strong Mechanical ad Electrical Aptitude
  • Experience working on remote mine sites and mining labs (Highly regarded)
  • Strong Fault finding and troubleshooting ability
  • Computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • High degree of initiative, organisation and planning skills
  • A positive and hands on attitude with excellent communication skills
