Conveyor System (Belt Splicing) Supervisor
  
Due to internal promotion, we are now seeking an experienced Belt Splicing Supervisor to join our Regional QLD Mining Team on a 4/3 roster (Tuesday to Friday).

The Role 
 
This role reports to the Service Manager and is an exciting and challenging role which will see you responsible for leading a team to successful delivery in quality conveyor installation, maintenance and belt splicing.
 
Key accountability will include:
  • Supervise and oversee work crews to ensure work is completed safely and in line with client and company requirements.
  • Assist in reviewing work requirements, including labour and equipment utilisation planning.
  • Liaise with key client personnel to ensure jobs are planned, scoped and executed to the highest standard.
  • Lead, develop and support field service team members in all aspects of the role.
  • Review performance outcomes and effectiveness of the team.
  • Other duties as requested by the Service Manager.
Essential Selection Criteria 
  • Extensive knowledge in steel cord belt splicing and conveyor installation, with demonstrated previous experience working at a supervisory level.
  • Ability to identify common belt damages/faults and determine the correct method of repair.
  • Proven ability to liaise and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • A commitment to a safety culture of ‘100% Safe Behaviours and Conditions, Today’
  • Working at Heights and Working in Confined Spaces tickets
  • Certificate III / IV in Polymer Processing.
  • Formal supervisory qualifications.
