About The Role


As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will help implement and support the technology infrastructure of the Winning group of companies. In particular, this includes the network and associated hardware, phone services and devices, user computing devices, servers, imaging peripherals and digital warehouse equipment.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Monitor the health of existing infrastructure so that preventable failures are anticipated and avoided, thus minimising disruption to the business;
  • secure the infrastructure so that the data and operations of the organisation are protected from harm, both malicious and inadvertent.
  • build production, test and development environments when required;
  • look for opportunities to improve existing infrastructure to help the business be more productive and cost-effective.
  • Ensure that appropriate systems are in place to provide timely support to staff where they experience problems with infrastructure;
  • staff our in-house support. This includes contributing time to providing after-hours support, in line with other members of the support team;
  • provide 2nd level support to TSD team as required;
  • report feedback to 1st level TSD team in a timely fashion;
    escalate to 3rd level support as required.
A Bit About You
  • 2+ years experience working in a technical support role including experience solving level 2 escalations 
  • Working knowledge of the operations of companies similar to those of the Winning group, together with a good understanding of the internet business model. Over time, intimate knowledge of the group’s business.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills and autonomy, to support the Infrastructure Manager.
  • Have experience in troubleshooting Windows, OSX, Chrome OS, and mobile devices.
  • Have knowledge and experience with anti-viral, firewall applications, and 2FA systems.
  • Have experience in supporting VoIP, PABX phone systems.
  • Have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Be responsible and have a strong sense of ethics and professionalism.
