We have an immediate 6 month contract Business Analyst role working in Professional Services Legal firm based in Auckland CBD.
Role Profile:
Two aspects to the role as stated by the client; 

Requirement Gathering, user story and acceptance criteria definition 80%
As part of a newly formed Scrum team working closely with a proactive product owner and highly knowledgeable stakeholders, helping them to translate their business needs into user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria for the dev team to realise.
Plus, working with project and legal teams on current state analysis, requirements and business processes.
  • Mapping current state business processes across legal teams
  • Detailed interrogation of client needs and gathering functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Identifying, developing, and supporting business process
  • Participating in all Agile meetings such as sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
Testing 20%  

Functional and non-functional testing -  n.b. this is not a large application.
  • maintain test plans
  • test plan Execution
  • results analysis
As we are a new team we have the opportunity to introduce toolsets and test automation (currently Azure DevOps based CI/CD).
  • proven ability to use various BA techniques to elicit information on business process - SEEN AS ESSENTIAL.
  • Business process mapping and requirements definition
  • Experience of defining software requirements for complex products, either as a business analyst or equivalent role in Scrum team
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present them in simple terms to intelligent teams (lawyers, legal teams and clients)
  • Working with Scrum/Agile practices and associated skills - including user story writing
  • Software Testing (system and integration testing) and coordinating UAT
