Presbyterian Support Northern is seeking a Health and Safety Professional with Strategic Management experience to lead and deliver our Health and Safety Strategic Risk Action Plan.  You will develop policies and procedures and manage the framework of Health and Safety activities across the organisation driving accountability and education.
You will provide expert knowledge and understanding of health, safety and wellbeing frameworks, legislation and best practice.
This is an exciting strategic people and process focused position, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer/Deputy CEO.

What will you do?
You will:
  • Lead, develop, implement, deliver and monitor our Health and Safety Strategic Action Plan.
  • Support organisation ownership of Health and Safety to ensure objectives are met and risk is minimised.
  • Evaluate the progress and effectiveness of Health and Safety culture and lead improvement initiatives
To be successful in this role you will need:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or Health and Safety Qualifications (ISO 45001 or NZ4801) would be desirable
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Health and Safety management role
  • Experience in leading, developing, implementing and managing a strategic Health and Safety approach.
