My client is a very well known multi faceted property group based in the heart of Perth city. With comprehensive services across new home and land, apartment developments, project marketing, constructions and many more areas, there has been an influx of new and exciting projects that have been secured with the company. 

About the candidate 

With that being said, my client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator who will manage the estimating team and play a vital role within the business. This candidate will be someone who has proficient experience estimating class 2 apartments and group dwellings as well as residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for: 
  • Undertaking scheduling, estimating, and Contract administration responsibilities for either apartments, residential or commercial
  • The interpretation of all contract documents, plans and legislation
  • handling the preperation of purchase orders, budgets and cost comparisons for review and approval
  • liaise with and assist site supervisors in performing their duties and forward planning.
  • Ability to accurately estimate  residential dwellings, group dwellings, multiple dwellings/apartments class 2
  • Identify and reduce construction erosion in line with managements KPI
Candidate Profile

As the successful candidate you will be someone who comes from a similar role, highly passionate about the building & construction industry with a positive and self motivating attitude and has a passion for innovation as well as:
  • Has a Demonstrated background in Estimating apartments and residential housing as well as managing teams, scheduling & procurement
  • Read and interpret architectural and engineering working drawings, soil reports and specifications.
  • Sound understanding of timber frame construction and construction software
  • Exceedingly competent in establishing and building relationships with key stakeholders as well as strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively train and up skill team members.
