The Organisation: 
This prominent, global mining company is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to support their site based mining operation. This role will provide you with an opportunity to work for a successful global business with a strong focus on reporting and process improvement. This is an organisation dedicated to a safe working culture and has a proven track record of internally promoting and professionally developing its staff. Through careful diversification of their commodity portfolio and by integrating their mining assets with their logistics arm, they have achieved stable and steady growth. This role is a residential role based in Central Queensland. All relocation costs will be covered.  
 
The Position: 
In this full time and permanent role, you will report to the Manager of Finance.
You will be responsible for managing the financial accounting and compliance, management reporting, reviewing tax, drafting technical memos, reviewing improvements and changes to the system, undertaking detailed P&L analysis and identifying process improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for leading the team to meet all critical deadlines. You will also provide guidance on internal and external audit documentation. 
  
Your Profile: 
As you will be leading an experienced team of Financial Accountants, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, coupled with excellent technical accounting expertise. Ideally you will have strong commercial experience or be working in a Big 4 environment at preferably Assistant Manager/Manager level and keen to slingshot your career working for a well known resources business.
