About the Organisation:
A very knit team in the heart of Hobart is looking for a passionate Intermediate Accountant to join their team. With a loyal client base build-up from referrals and long-standing relationships, this firm has continued to grow stability over the years. This chartered accounting firm provides professional services in the areas of Business Services Advisory, and Tax. We are looking for strong Intermediates to join the firm in the Business Services Division. The successful candidates will be part of a confident and stable team that caters to small to large and local businesses. The owner is very much approachable and has the eagerness to grow and develop the team.  

About The Role
  • Preparing income tax returns and special purpose financial reports for a wide variety of clients (predominately small/medium enterprises, family business, and high wealth individuals)
  • Ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently and effectively by meeting technical standards, deadlines and within job budget with complete working papers
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statement (IAS).
  • Prepare Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Payroll Tax returns.
  • Meet and communicate directly with clients to manage queries and assist with ad-hoc inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Monitor compliance deadlines and lodgment due dates for clients.
  • Assist in researching and preparing practical written advice clearly and concisely presenting solutions on various taxation issues as directed
Skills & Experience
  • Desire to complete their CA/CPA qualification.
  • Strong written & verbal communication.
  • Minimum of 2-years local business services experience.
  • Permanent Residency or citizen.
