The Organisation:
A Queensland non-profit organisation servicing hundreds of people across the state is currently recruiting for a passionate and driven Financial Accountant. This role will be backfilling many of the Finance Manager's tasks as they move forward with a new system implementation project. Although this is a temporary role for 6 months, your contribution will be large and you will be made to feel like a valued member of the team. 
The Position:
You will be responsible for maintaining the General Ledger, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, managing all the fixed assets, preparing all monthly and annual reports, preparing quarterly forecast reports and assisting with the preparation of various management reports. You will also be undertaking P&L analysis.  This will be a busy role that will require you to demonstrate good technical accounting expertise while working to tight deadlines. 

Your Profile:
To truly succeed and thrive in this exciting position, you will need to be disciplined, focused and results-driven! You should have excellent communication skills and comfortable interacting with stakeholders across the business.  You will need to have the ability to look at the bigger picture and to understand things in context but also able to drill down into the detail.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have solid experience working as an Accountant for large, complex businesses. Exposure to the non-profit industry will be highly advantageous but not required as experience gained in other industries is still highly transferrable. It is absolutely imperative that you are CPA or CA qualified.  You will also have strong Excel skills and preferably experience working on systems such as Xero or MYOB through to large ERPs. Experience on any type of systems implementations or upgrades will be helpful but is not required.
