About the Position:
The Senior Accountant has their own client base. You will be working with:
  • High net value client up and around 5 million
  • Group entities up to 40 million
  • Working across a multitude of industries
  • Manage your own client base
  • Business advisory as much as you would like with a combination of compliance work
  • Attend to queries from clients and more junior staff
  • Possibility to grow to a manager and manage your own team if you are the right person
Who are we looking for:
To be considered for this role, it is imperative that you are able to demonstrate business services experience. CA/CPA Qualification is absolutely beneficial. You will need to demonstrate experience with MYOB AE, Xero, taking working papers and good work-flow management. You should be able to work closely with senior management and should also be a strong team player adept at building amazing working relationships with your peers. As you will be liaising with clients, you should have very strong communication skills. This is a great way to demonstrate your skill by getting the opportunity to grow within a well-known brand, as your client base will grow over a period of time.
Must Have:
  • CA/CPA qualification or almost finalised.
  • Sound knowledge of tax.
  • Preparing financial statements for clients.
  • Preparing tax returns for clients.
  • Preparing BAS, GST, FBT & PAYG returns.
  • Follow up with clients, both proactively & reactively.
  • Staying up to date with legislative changes.
  • Proven capabilities to manage workflow. 
  • Strong people and written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Computer literacy including a variety of Accounting software. 
A short summary of your skillset
  • Minimum exposure of 3 years in an Australian tax firm preparing taxes for individuals, partnerships, and trust and companies. 
  • First-rate communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong work ethic and enthusiasm.
  • Understanding of high levels of client service.
  • Full understanding of Div7a, GST, CGT, FBT
  • Manage your own client base
