About the Organisation:
This dynamic accounting firm with three young and driven partners has an extremely strong brand and amazing reputation with a broad and loyal client base. Due to some internal restructuring, an opportunity has arisen for an Audit Manager or Assitant Manager. The position is an excellent opportunity to accelerate to either manager or partner-level with the guidance and training you require. You will be working for an experienced partner with a great management style who is easily approachable, nurturing and supportive. The company you will be working for is team focussed and supports social activities. With quarterly challenges, team events, monthly catch-ups and weekly meetings with your manager.

The Position:
With a mixture of business evaluations, QBCC reports and audits, advisory and general audit duties you will provide audit and assurance services to a wide range of organisations up to 100 Mill. turnover in the industries of not for profit, multinationals, SMEs and financial services where you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients, advise and make a real impact. Your responsibilities are not limited to:
  • Supervise and coach staff for the audit projects
  • Recruit your own team
  • Perform review work from junior staff on completed audits 
  • Job budgeting, job completion, planning and documenting
  • Reporting and management to the client
  • Planning of audits, including designing and implementing audit strategies and procedures
  • Preparing audit advice and opinion 
  • Completing fieldwork and analysing financial information
  • Completion and management of client work assignments within an efficient timeframe
  • Being a point of contact for client queries 
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in external audit in Australia
  • Proper documentation skills
  • Technically strong knowledge with Australian Accounting Standards
  • CPA/CA qualified 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experienced in completing audit fieldwork
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Social catch up's and functions
  • Ongoing weekly training and conferences
  • Development for leadership skills
