Experienced HR Advisor required for a successful FMCG business. Be the right hand to the HR Manager and have influence across the whole organisation.

Our client is a well renowned FMCG brand name with a successful past and they have exciting growth plans for the future. They are located in the western suburbs of Sydney and are currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor. In this stand-alone role, you will be the right-hand support for the HR Manager. You will gain exposure across all areas of the business and be involved with HR and administrative issues from top to bottom.  
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Onboard new employees and support them through their probationary period
  • Run induction programs
  • Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of Modern Awards 
  • Administrative support including provision of employment contracts, workers compensation documentation, payroll records and other correspondence
  • Build strong internal relationships and support managers with timely HR advice as well as assist managers with employee performance 
  • Delivery and administration of human resources policies and procedures 
  • Administration and updating of HR documentation to ensure compliance with IR laws and other regulations
This is a very busy full-time role that is required to work onsite full-time.
To be successful in the role you will have the following skills and experience:
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar HR generalist/advisory role
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or equivalent 
  • Ability to interpret and explain various relevant Acts, Regulations and Modern Awards
  • Excellent IT and research skills for operating various systems and researching/analysing HR related policies and procedures
  • Proven experience with employee performance management at all levels within the organisation
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise with staff at all levels
  • Attention to detail. Ability to handle both administrative requirements as well as major issues/projects
