We are Airmed, a Dunedin-based health data science and research company who work with industries, government, or other organisations active in the health sector to become more efficient, enable better decision making, and solve specific challenges using their data. Overall, we help create change and work to reduce inequities.
  
We have capabilities in health sciences, statistics, artificial intelligence (machine learning, including deep learning neural networks), computer vision, data visualisation, big data, and information technologies (software and database development, information security). We also have experience in setting up and carrying out large health research projects, and in accessing national health databases.
  
About the opportunity:
  
Platinum Recruitment are proud to exclusively partner with Airmed as they look to add an intermediate-level web developer to their ranks. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting health research and data science projects.
  
Specifically, you will work on the EPiC dashboard, Airmed’s newly released prescribing data tool that can be used by GPs to explore their prescribing behaviours and create interactive, personalised dashboards. The tool also allows GPs to compare their patient prescribing to all patients within their practice and to the national data set.
  
Core tasks and responsibilities:
  • Design and develop user interfaces to Internet applications, especially web reports and dashboards.
  • Recommend system solutions.
  • Gather, develop, and refine user requirements specifications.
  • Support users by developing and maintaining documentation and relevant tools.
  • Work both individually and collaboratively, supporting other web developers in the team.
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient use, using best software engineering practices, including CI/CD.
About the successful candidate:
  
You will be a proactive, driven individual who is flexible, willing to learn and comfortable working under pressure. A strong team player, you will need the following technical skills to be successful:
  • 3+ years’ experience as a developer, ideally with time spent in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript.
  • Proficiency with advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, ideally React.
  • ASP.NET Core, Microservices, Docker.
  • Experience with Azure Services desirable.
  • Strong teamworking and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Prior experience working with health data would be highly advantageous.
  • Industry certification(s) preferred.
