Excellent Lifestyle Officer opportunity available for a passionate professional to help coordinate the lifestyle services within this very reputable aged care facility in the Bankstown Region. Representing a values-driven aged care organisation, you will be required to work alongside a small lifestyle services team to optimise the resident's well-being. This exciting opportunity is supported by an experienced Lifestyle Coordinator, Facility Manager & Care Manager. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary and the ability to add a touch of vibrancy into the residents lives!

The Position

The Lifestyle Officer opportunity is a busy and rewarding role where you will be required to help coordinate centre based day care, evaluate group & individual lifestyle programs and help facilitate the participation of residents in a variety of experiences which improve their quality of life. You will work alongside other RAO's and the nursing team to improve the quality of their days. 

We require a lifestyle services professional that can make this position their own and bring with them a vibrant attitude, fresh new ideas and the willingness to add joy to the resident's lives.

The Requirements:
  • Have minimum Cert IV qualifications in Leisure and Health
  • You will have a minimum of 6 months experience working in the Aged Care sector with a strong understanding of person-centred care and activity programming for clients. 
  • A passion for Aged Care
  • The capacity to work well autonomously and be a team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • An approachable & caring demeanour
  • Experience coordinating & evaluating group & individual programs
  • Experience with resident care planning & assessments
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Police Check
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
