The company

Our client is a global resource manufacturer with a number of facilities based throughout Australia. The business has a rich history in manufacturing and continues to invest heavily in plant upgrades and capital projects to remain competitive in this global market. Due to an internal movement a need has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Manager to join the business based in the facility in Newcastle, NSW.

The role

Sitting within the Electrical Services group, your responsibilities will be;
  • Leading the electrical maintenance team in developing effective maintenance strategies.
  • Develop improvement tasks and safety systems to deliver cost per tonne target.
  • Implement site safety plan and build a positive safety culture.
  • Identify any safety hazards and address any issues accordingly.
  • People management and leadership.
  • Process, planning and scheduling
  • Overall management on maintenance processes.
  • Manage a trade team of 10-20 people
Your background

In order to be successful in this role, you:
  • Must have a certified Electrical Trade / Diploma.
  • Must have demonstrated hands on experience leading trades teams / industrial electricians in a continuous production environment. 
  • Experience managing maintenance processes in a continuous production environment. 
  • Must have clear communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders and push through project deliverables.
  • Proven leadership abilities as well as safety commitment.
  • Heavy manufacturing experience
