The Role
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager and a dotted line to the GM Safety, this role will have responsibility for all health, safety and environment duties across the manufacturing and distribution sites. Key duties include the following:

The Role
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager and a dotted line to the GM Safety, this role will have responsibility for all health, safety and environment duties across the manufacturing and distribution sites. Key duties include the following:
- Develop, interpret and implement policies to ensure the company complies with all its legal and statutory requirements.
- Establish and maintain a safety management plan to guide the site transformation.
- Case management and review of workers compensation claims to ensure employees are returned to full duties in a timely manner.
- Ensure risk reduction and corrective action is occurring throughout the site as specified by the Site Safety Plan and corrective actions system.
- Ensure policies regarding safety, health and environment are being maintained throughout the site and by all levels of employee.
- Ensure all relevant training is conducted and training records completed.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes:
- Previous experience in health & safety in a leadership capacity within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in managing RTW and work cover cases, driving safety initiatives and hands on safety management experience.
- Experience in transforming a safety culture towards the goal of zero harm.
