The Organisation

Who Gives A Crap are a passionate, committed, and talented team who have built a social enterprise that tackles global health issues through the production and sale of their much-loved toilet paper products. Due to significant organic growth and ambitious future plans, they are currently seeking to recruit a Head of Global Inventory to develop the inventory strategy and evolve the S&OP process. This is a critical position that will take overall responsibility for the design and execution of inventory management and planning operations to deliver value through service level, quality, cost, and working capital. 

Position Requirements
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver a robust inventory model that will add value to operations across the global network 
  • Evolve a Sales and Operational Planning process which will move the business into a best in class operation. Clear vision and the ability to develop and deliver strategy will be critical
  • Support the launching of products into new countries, adding new products and crossing into new sales channels
  • Champion the planning and inventory process and be a key member of the senior leadership team
  • Oversee all inventory activities including the management of systems to ensure stock integrity across the supply chain 
  • Mitigate risk to supply through developing visibility of current inventory holdings and aligning with demand forecasts 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the right stock is in the right place to improve service levels and reduce working capital 
  • Create metrics to deliver visibility across the lifecycle of inventory management 
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels are held, aiming to reduce inventory value whilst increasing service levels to customer. Ensure safety stock mitigates risk due to fluctuations in demand 
  • Work closely with production, new product development, and sales teams to support the successful launch of new SKU’s 
  • Work closely with the senior leaders in the business to develop strategy and identify areas for operational improvement  
Background, Experience and Personality traits 
  • Must be able to engage with internal stakeholders and influence in a way that is collaborative, authentic, and without ego 
  • Strong analytical ability and experience in developing metrics to measure and improve inventory operations  
  • A strong understanding of inventory management and planning with the ability to develop process and standardisation across the business  
  • Able to implement inventory management policy and demonstrate value so that teams adopt and follow process 
  • Must be open to change, collaborative, resilient, and capable of engaging and influencing teams through change 
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to think strategically and alongside senior management, but also be comfortable being hands-on and work in the day-to-day tactical operations  
  • Computer literate with excellent systems skills and exposure to the development, and ideally selection, of ERP systems  
  • Commercially savvy with the ability to identify opportunities to reduce cost  
  • Experience in a fast-moving environment, ideally with a high-growth agenda  
  • Must show the ability to be flexible in their work approach and be comfortable working without set structure, process, and systems 
  • A genuine desire to work in a business that wants to make the world a better place
