We are searching for a Business Development Manager who has experience in the Architecture and Design / Building industry who is responsible for ensuring that our client's product range is used within the architectural and design sector across Australia.  Based in inner Melbourne, the role will involve being out and about seeing clients, calling target customers (architects, designers & builders) and managing the database of clients to ensure a strong relationship is formed to create repeat business.

Our client operates in high end timber flooring and is well known within the building, architectural and design industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, architects & designers
  • Ensure the database is maintained and up to date
  • Attend industry related events to build your brand and network
  • Collaborate with other complimenting product BDMs to increase lead generation
  • Prepare activity reports for management
WHAT YOU CAN OFFER
  • 2-3 years experience selling in architecturally designed products (flooring is highly regarded)
  • Proven track record in new business prospecting and achieving set sales targets
  • Not afraid to cold calling and do drop ins
  • Excellent presentation, communication and customer service skills 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise 
  • An enthusiastic and competitive attitude committing to work and life in general
