A well-known Crown Entity is looking for a Legal Personal Assistant to join their Public Law Team. The Legal Support Team provides personal administrative support to legal counsel, enabling them to deliver quality legal advice and representation services. They are ideally looking for someone to join their team in early July.

The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, unparalleled organisational skills and be self-motivated. You will also be pro-active and be a great team player! Experience within the legal space is preferable.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and manage documentation for Counsel including transcription, coordinating affidavits and creating court memos
  • Coordinate the timely response to office-wide requests for information under the Official Information Act, Privacy Act or Ministerial requests
  • Proof-read work to ensure the quality of all documents meets expectations
  • Effectively maintain all systems with accurate data including 3E maintenance and databases
  • Plan, organise and manage meetings and timetables specific to Counsel cases and litigation (including minutes and actions)
  • Manage Counsel calendars and appointments
  • Organise travel for Counsel including booking, coordination and managing travel and accommodation
  • Assist Counsel with time-sheeting and preparation of client bills
  • Organise credit card payments and reimbursements, checking invoices for accuracy and gaining sign-off
  • Assist Counsel with reports, files and briefings to external parties, including presentations
