About the role

Maintain the delivery of maintenance works at this multi-disciplinary, technical  site. Initially your focus will be understanding how the site and organisation currently operates. You'll then be charged with developing systems and processes to expedite the delivery of maintenance works in a safe manner. There will be a need to establish effective reporting and ensure that the organisation continues to operate within financial parameters. This role is not a ‘doer’ but rather, a strong people leader with commercial acumen.

You will have key relationships with the team leaders and group managers from the internal business units, as well as the tenants on-site. You will have 7 direct reports, ranging between qualified tradesman (i.e. electrician and carpenter), internal projects managers and the logistics manager. 
  • This is a full-time role
  • You'll be required to be on-site  
Skills & experience

You'll have experience and exposure working with a multi faceted infrastructure site, as well as;
  • Experience driving business improvement within facilities management and asset maintenance including the development of contractual KPIs for suppliers
  • Strong people leader 
  • Commercial acumen
  • Full understanding of safety regulations and the Health & Safety requirements 
  • An understanding of project management principles along with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
About the company
This government agency is based in Wgtn, has three other urban offices and has satellite partners across New Zealand. Your role will be to oversee their main site in Wellington. You'll work closely with the already established PMO, who are undertaking significant capital works programme.
