ABOUT THE COMPANY
We are proud to be partnering with Urban Plus Limited (UPL) in recruiting a Projects & Support Manager to join their small, but high functioning team on a 12-month mat leave fixed-term contract. UPL is a Council Controlled Organisation established by Hutt City Council (HCC) to manage and develop the housing portfolio of HCC and to develop and sell surplus properties.

At their core, UPL is a social conscious organisation committed to providing high quality residential property developments and adding to their social housing portfolio.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will report directly to the Chief Executive whilst providing additional support to the Housing Manager and Development Team for various on-going projects and the overall company strategy. With some big shoes to fill, you will need to be a highly independent and pro-active person who is able to juggle multiple tasks and competing deadlines at any given time. This role calls for a respectful and level-headed person who maintains a real “can do” attitude!

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Office Management: Provision of administration services across the organisation and provide front of house duties.
  • Governance: Support to the Chief Executive and Board of Directors.
  • Board Secretarial Services: Collation and distribution of Board Agendas, Action Items, papers and minutes on a cyclical nature.
  • Development Project Support: Supporting the Development Team in the execution of commercial and residential portfolio projects.
  • Property Management Support: Supporting the Housing Manager in managing the Housing Portfolio.
  • Marketing Coordination: Update website and social media pages, create and design marketing material and manage the settlement materials and handover at the end of projects.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will have previous experience with governance and board meetings, as well as the ability to self-manage your workload and be flexible in the running of your day-to-day duties. Further to this, you will ideally have knowledge of the property / development industry and be able to work independently. Knowledge of Adobe Suite would be beneficial as well as a relevant qualification.
